Unloading and Unpacking
After the shipment is unloaded, the driver will go over the bill of lading with you and make sure all property is delivered without any damage. You will then sign the bill of lading and keep that as your receipt. Before unloading the shipment, the driver will request payment. Once payment is made, the property will be unloaded. The movers will unload everything to the designated areas you have selected. After everything is unloaded, the movers will them assemble the items that they disassembled when packing your property for the move.
The mover will assemble the beds and remove the mattresses from the shipping containers. They will assemble most of the items that they had to take apart. If you were doing the move yourself, you would have to pack, disassemble and ship everything yourself. By using a mover, the work is done for you. It might cost a little more for this service, but you have so many things to take care of when you are planning the move that using a professional moving company will allow you more time to get everything changed around and set up when you arrive at the new location.
As for unpacking, most companies will only take care of the things that they have to assemble. If you have boxes to unpack, it is done by you after everything is put in its place. This is why it is a good idea to know where you want everything before the movers start unloading the truck. They will place everything where you need it placed. Unpacking the boxes will go much faster since the majority of the larger items are all arranged before the movers leave. Using a moving company will make the move a little less stressful since they have to worry about getting everything done.
